Each year, the Tri-Lakes Big Bass Festival draws 300+ anglers from across the region to fish De Queen, Gillham, and Dierks lakes—bringing energy, visitors, and real economic impact to Sevier County.

The excitement builds all day, but it all comes down to one moment:
the heaviest fish on each lake earns a shot at $10,000 in the Reel the Weight finale.

MAY 23, 2026

Boat check and late registration begin at 5 AM. All participants must follow event, state, and federal rules and regulations. The first weigh-in must be completed by 8 AM (meaning on land and ready to weigh in 7:59 AM). The final weigh-in at 1 PM.

 

Launch locations include

De Queen Lake:  Oak Grove and Rolling Fork

Gillham Lake: Coon Creek and Little Coon Creek

Dierks Lake: Jefferson Ridge.

 

Weigh-in sites will be held at Oak Grove in De Queen, Coon Creek in Gillham, and Jefferson Ridge in Dierks.

 

The awards ceremony will take place at 3 PM at Herman Dierks Park in De Queen. Door prizes will be awarded, and participants must be present to win door prizes and Reel The Weight.

BIG BASS RULES

  1. All State and Federal rules and regulations must be observed.

  2. Failure of any boat occupant to pay entry fee disqualifies all parties in boat.

  3. All participants, including Winners, may be polygraph tested.

  4. Fish must be caught from a boat on artificial lures. (NO Trolling).

  5. Largemouth, Small-Mouth, and Kentucky Spotted Bass ONLY.

  6. Tournament Director's decision will be final in all matters.

  7. Fish must be alive to be weighed in.

  8. Only ONE bass per hour, per contestant, per provided bag.

  9. All weighed fish are to be released immediately following weigh-in.

  10. Winner's may take more than one hourly big bass, but only one big bass per contestant for Grand Prizes. Wristbands for $50 additional prize must be worn by the same person for the duration of the tournament. Sharing wristbands is grounds for immediate disqualification.

  11. Winner for a tie will be determined by time of weigh in.

  12. Minimum length of bass: twelve inches.

  13. No alcoholic beverages allowed.

  14. Life jackets must be worn when big engine is running.

  15. For fish to be considered for an hourly weigh-in, fishermen must declare their intent to weigh the fish prior to the end of the hour.

  16. Tournament Director's time will be official.

  17. Start Time (6 AM) reflects time fishermen may start on their Hole Lines.

will be eligible for one $10,000 prize!

 

Exact fractional weight is measured in 100ths of a pound (last 2 digits after the decimal), and must match the predetermined weight provided by Odds On Promotions in a sealed envelope.

 

EXAMPLE: The largest bass weight for one lake is 3.28 lbs. If the sealed envelope is .28 lbs., then the 3.28 lb. bass wins $10,000!

  • Last 2 digits of weight refers to 2 places after the decimal (.00)

  • The contestant with the heaviest fish at each lake will have one chance to match their bass weight to the sealed weight in the envelope

  • Sevier County Chamber of Commerce and Odds On Promotions have the right to use the Winner(s) name and likeness for promotional purposes without further notice or compensation

  • ADDITIONAL RULES APPLY. Complete rules are available at the chamber office, or can be emailed upon request.
